Children's Ministry

Vision Statement
To see each child follow in the footsteps of Jesus and reaching their full potential in Christ to the glory of God.

Mission Statement
Our team is dedicated in teaching the Word of God and setting an example of being a faithful followerof Christ. We also desire to pray and partner with parents knowing they have the primary responsibility for training up their child.

Purpose
J.O.Y. (Jesus first, Others second, & Yourself last) - Jesus said the greatest commandment is love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul. The second is to love your neighbor as yourself (Matt. 22:37-40). Jesus is our perfect model of this vital truth for "He did not come to be served, but to serve and be ransom for many." (Matt. 20:28, John 13:1-17)

  • The Great Commission: To make "sold out" disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to observe all things that Jesus commanded. (Matt. 28:18-20)
  • Prayer and Christian Conduct: To teach kids how to pray like Jesus and encourage them to live in the light of Christ's imminent return, being like-minded, and growing in the grace, and knowledge of God. (Matt. 6:6-13, 1 Thess. 5:12-28, Philippians 2:1-16, 2 Peter 3:17-18)
  • God's Calling: To help kids find their calling in the Body of Christ, utilizing God-given gifts to serve others in humility to the glory of God. (Eph. 4:1-16).

Available Classes & Check-In Information | Sunday Service
All classes are located on the 2nd floor of our church building. For safety and security purposes we require parents and guardians to check-in their child to the appropiate class before service begins. Once your child is checked-in, a Children's Ministy worker will hand you a parent tag which you will need in order to sign your child back out.

  • Little Lambs Nursery | Ages NB - 12mo.+
  • S.L.A.M. Room | 1 - 2 yrs.
    • (Serving God, Loving others, and Making a joyful noise)
  • Action Kids | 3 - 4 yrs.
  • K.I.N.G.'s Kids | K5 - 2nd Grade
    • (Kids in Need of God)
  • Summit Kids | 3rd - 5th Grade
  • LIFE Youth Group | Middle & High School

Serving in the Children’s Ministry
Are you interested in serving in the CCS Children’s Ministry? We will need you to fill out a Children's Ministry application.

After you have completed your application, please submit it to the Children's Ministry directors, Em or Jen Lumaban, or to our Youth Pastor, Caleb Tarr for review. It is also important that you read our policies and procedures to become familiar with what we expect from our Children's Ministry servants. Copies of the application and policies & procedures are also available on the 2nd floor. If you have any questions, please contact Jen Lumaban.
