Prayer Ministry
The ministry of prayer is an extremely important one! We tend to undervalue this wonderful gift the Lord has blessed us with by thinking things like; "Well, I guess we've tried everything else and nothing's worked so let's pray". Prayer is not easy, it takes perseverance and faith, but it is a powerful weapon in the spiritual war that we wage every day.
In Ephesians 6 we have the description of the spiritual armor we are to put on and often we stop the list with the "Sword of the Spirit" being the Word of God, but the list actually ends with the ministry of prayer. "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints".
Prayer is a ministry that every one of us can be a part of and really see the Lord work in mighty ways. I encourage everyone to join with us in praying for each other, our church, and our community. Prayer is also a great way to remain steadfast and vigilant in our walk with Jesus as He told His disciples; "watch and pray lest you enter into temptation. The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak."
